Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Team Member to join our team at Executive Residency by Best Western. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of our hotel facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs
  • Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris and other refuse
  • Wash windows, interior walls and ceilings
  • Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems
  • Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment
  • Perform minor repairs on appliances
  • Perform safety and security checks
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures
  • Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience an asset
  • Physically demanding work environment
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Flexibility and initiative
  • Organized and efficient interpersonal skills
  • Team player with a strong work ethic
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. They will be required to work in a physically demanding environment with repetitive tasks and tight deadlines.
