Job Title: Transportation Operations Supervisor

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Operations Supervisor to join our team at SIDH TRUCK TRANSPORTATION INC. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day activities of our transportation operations, ensuring smooth and efficient delivery of goods to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure seamless operations
  • Prepare and submit reports to management on a regular basis
  • Ensure the smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery
  • Arrange for maintenance and repair work as needed
  • Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
  • Recruit and hire staff as needed
  • Train workers in duties and policies
  • Conduct performance reviews to ensure employees are meeting expectations
  • Co-ordinate, assign, and review work to ensure timely completion
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed
  • Establish work schedules and procedures to ensure efficient operations

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Ability to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
