Job Title: Medical Health Officer - Leadership and Program Management

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Health Officer to lead and manage our public health programs and services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to our programs, ensuring they are aligned with our organizational goals and objectives.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in public health, with experience in program management, leadership, and strategic planning. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to public health programs and services
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the effective delivery of programs and services
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address emerging public health issues
  • Develop and manage budgets and resources to ensure the effective delivery of programs and services

Requirements:

  • Medical Degree and eligibility for full license to practice medicine in BC
  • Masters in Health Sciences (or equivalent qualifications)
  • FRCP(C) in Public Health and Preventative Medicine/Community Medicine
  • Experience in program management, leadership, and strategic planning
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
