Corporate Finance Analyst

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Analyst to join our team at Rexall. As a Corporate Analyst, you will play a key role in assisting with month-end analysis, performing month-end close activities, and preparing financial reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with month-end analysis, including fixed assets, prepaids, utilities, payroll, accruals, allocations, repairs & maintenance accounts, and various other G&A accounts.
- Perform month-end close activities, such as booking journal entries, allocations of costs across stores and cost centers, and other month-end tasks.
- Prepare Form 980s/Intercompany entries for review on a monthly/quarterly basis.
- Reconcile various GL accounts assigned, including analysis and investigation.
- Prepare, analyze, and distribute weekly and monthly store operations and cost center reports on a defined timeline and ensure financial accuracy.
- Prepare and distribute reports drill-downs associated with various month-end reports.
- Assist with preparing management weekly P&L reporting.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales letters to landlords.
- Act as a point of contact for all incoming financial inquiries from business divisions and serve as a liaison between various Finance departments to collect information and respond to the business in a timely and courteous manner.
- Prepare and analyze various ad-hoc reports as required by management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Accounting required.
- Enrollment in CPA/CGA/CMA accounting designation required.
- 2-3 years of experience with enterprise software, including fixed asset module, JD Edwards, an asset.
- Ability to meet month-end deadlines.
- Good working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
