About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Control Specialist to join our team at Stantec. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of projects by controlling costs, managing project scope, and coordinating with project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage project costs, including tracking and reporting on expenses, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with project teams to ensure that project scope, timelines, and budgets are aligned and met.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, including creating and updating project timelines, Gantt charts, and resource allocation plans.
  • Collaborate with project managers and team members to identify and mitigate project risks, and develop contingency plans as needed.
  • Provide project status updates to stakeholders, including project sponsors, clients, and team members.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and meeting minutes.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, cost control, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing projects from initiation to completion.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with project teams, stakeholders, and clients.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate project risks.
  • Proficiency in project management software, including MS Project, Primavera, and Excel.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as engineering, business administration, or a related field.
