Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the technical aspects of projects, supervising team members, and ensuring the technical quality of deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the technical aspects of projects, responding to client needs and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Supervise team members to ensure the technical quality of deliverables and provide guidance on technical matters.
  • Act as an engineer to review and approve plans and calculations, and participate in developing the team's technical knowledge.
  • Collaborate with regulatory entities to ensure design compliance and participate in discussions with material suppliers to ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Assign mandates to team members and determine the naval architecture and engineering efforts to be deployed.
  • Ensure the technical quality of deliverables and participate in and support the Health, Safety and Environment management system.

Requirements

  • University degree in mechanical engineering, civil engineering, or a relevant field.
  • Six months to five years of experience in product development/technical integration, ideally related to naval architecture.
  • Microsoft 365 proficiency, including Word and Excel.
  • Languages: advanced level in French and intermediate level in spoken and written English.
  • Qualified as an engineer or in the process of obtaining the title.
  • 3D modelling software expertise (AutoDesk Inventor/AutoCad/SHIPCON or equivalent).
  • Relevant experience in the field of naval construction and repair.
  • Strong analytical skills and communication skills.
