About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at WOK BOX MOOSEJAW.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleanliness and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and sanitized kitchen environment, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
  • Dishware and Supplies: Bring clean dishes, flatware, and other items to serving areas and set tables.
  • Food Preparation: Assist in preparing, heating, and finishing simple food items, including portioning and wrapping foods.
  • Customer Service: Serve customers at counters or buffet tables and take orders.
  • Inventory and Stocking: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Trash and Garbage: Remove kitchen garbage and trash.
  • Appliance Maintenance: Handle and store cleaning products and sharpen kitchen knives.
  • General Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors and wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Certifications: Safe Food Handling certificate an asset.
  • Availability: Available for shift or on-call work and willing to relocate for this position.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, work under pressure, and lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
