We are seeking an experienced Store Operations Manager to lead our team at the Whyte Ave location in Edmonton. The successful candidate will have a strong working knowledge of the retail grocery industry and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service Champion: Build relationships with customers and provide exceptional service by asking questions and addressing their needs.
  • Team Management: Support the hiring and training of new employees on overall store operations and department-specific tasks. Ensure that all staff are sales-driven and customer-focused.
  • Cashier Management: Coach, train, manage, and schedule cashiers' shifts for optimal customer experience.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee grocery department operations, including inventory management, ordering, and stock control.

Requirements:

  • Typically requires completion of a post-secondary program with an emphasis in business, plus 2-3 years of progressively responsible managerial experience in retail. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Familiarity with budgeting and forecasting, as well as Microsoft Office software.
  • Able to adapt to temperature changes and stand/walk for long periods during the shift.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per annum, based on experience
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
  • Overtime is required
  • Special projects and other duties may be assigned as required
  • Some travel (including overnight) may be required to assist other store locations or attend training
