Company Overview

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at AMHS-KFLA. The successful candidate will work in a dynamic environment, providing community-based occupational therapy services to clients.

Estimated Salary

$65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.

Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing clients' capabilities and expectations related to life activities through observation, interviews, and formal assessments. You will consult and advise on health promotion programs to prevent disabilities and maximize independent function in all activities of life.

Treatment Programs

You will develop and implement treatment programs, evaluate treatment progress, and maintain clinical and progress reports. Additionally, you will provide suicide and crisis intervention, working in a multidisciplinary environment.

Specializations

This position requires a strong focus on mental health and drug addiction. You will conduct psychosocial assessments, work with clients to identify their strengths and challenges, and develop personalized plans to achieve their goals.

Requirements
  • Masters degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent experience
  • Registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO)
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
