Painter and Decorator

We are seeking a skilled Painter and Decorator to join our team at Abbotsford Line Marking Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring our clients' properties are beautifully painted and decorated.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and Clean Surfaces: Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces to be painted, ensuring they are free from dust, dirt, and other debris.
- Repair and Fill Holes: Repair cracks and holes in walls and ceilings, and fill them with a suitable filler.
- Mix and Apply Paint: Mix paint to the desired colour and texture, and apply it to interior and exterior surfaces using a variety of techniques, including brush painting, roller painting, and airless spray equipment.
- Measure and Cut Wallpaper: Measure, cut, and apply wallpaper and other fabric to walls, ensuring a precise and professional finish.
- Advise on Colours and Wall Coverings: Advise clients on colours and choice of wall coverings, taking into account their personal preferences and the style of their property.
- Estimate Costs and Materials: Estimate the costs and materials required for each job, ensuring that our clients receive a competitive quote.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
- Work Site Environment: Ability to work outdoors and underground.
- Work Setting: Ability to work at various locations.
- Equipment and Machinery Experience: Experience with airless spray equipment, brush painting, conventional spray painting, and roller painting.
- Coating/Application Specialization: Experience with sign painting, graphics painting, and paint spraying.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, with attention to detail and the ability to distinguish between colours.
- Personal Suitability: Client focus, flexibility, initiative, reliability, and a team player attitude.
