About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team at JSS BC Homes ltd. as a Decorative Finishing Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, cleaning, and sanding surfaces to be painted, repairing cracks and holes, and applying paint, wallpaper, and other materials to interior and exterior surfaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces to be painted, ensuring a smooth finish.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Repair cracks and holes in walls and ceilings, and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Painting and Finishing: Apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials to interior and exterior surfaces, using a variety of techniques and tools.
  • Customer Service: Advise consumers on colours and choice of wall coverings, and provide expert advice on painting and decorating techniques.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure a safe working environment by following all health and safety protocols and procedures.
Requirements
  • Experience: Experience as a Painter or in a related field is an asset.
  • Work Setting: This is a permanent position, working 35 to 40 hours per week.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
