We are seeking a skilled Painter and Decorator to join our team at Abbotsford Line Marking Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality painting and decorating services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Surface Preparation: Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces to be painted, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
- Repair and Maintenance: Repair cracks and holes in walls and ceilings, and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure our clients' properties remain in excellent condition.
- Painting and Coating: Mix paint to the desired color and texture, and apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials to interior and exterior surfaces.
- Estimation and Planning: Estimate costs and materials required for each project, and plan and coordinate the work to ensure timely completion.
- Client Communication: Advise clients on colors and choice of wall coverings, and provide expert advice on painting and decorating techniques.
- Education and Experience: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate, and 1 to less than 7 months of experience in the painting and decorating industry.
- Language: Fluency in English.
- Work Environment: Ability to work outdoors and in various locations, including underground sites.
- Physical Demands: Physically demanding role requiring bending, crouching, and kneeling.
- Personal Qualities: Attention to detail, ability to distinguish between colors, and excellent communication skills.
