The Facility Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting the planning, dimensioning, procurement, installation, and maintenance of the Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) and associated equipment and installations. This position is integral to ensuring the smooth operation of tunneling activities for the Pape Tunnel and Underground Stations Project.

Duties:

  • Collaborating with project stakeholders to develop comprehensive plans for the installation and operation of the TBM and associated facilities
  • Assessing spatial requirements and ensuring adequate dimensioning of the facilities to accommodate equipment and personnel
  • Identifying and evaluating suitable vendors and suppliers for TBM and associated equipment
  • Coordinating procurement processes in compliance with project guidelines
  • Preparing and negotiating contracts and agreements with vendors to ensure timely delivery of equipment and materials
  • Overseeing the installation of TBM and associated equipment according to project specifications and safety standards
  • Coordinating with construction teams to facilitate seamless integration of facilities into the project site using schedules and milestones and monitor progress against established schedules
  • Conducting quality inspections to ensure proper installation and functionality of equipment
  • Developing and implementing preventative maintenance schedules for TBM and associated facilities
  • Preparing progress reports and coordinating maintenance activities with internal teams and external service providers
  • Responding promptly to equipment failures and breakdowns, troubleshooting issues to minimize downtime
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to facility management and equipment operation
  • Implementing quality control programs and safety protocols and procedures to mitigate risks associated with tunneling operations
