Job Overview

The Emergency Department at Halton Healthcare is a 54-bed unit that provides comprehensive care to patients of all ages and medical conditions.

Our team of skilled professionals, including nurses, physicians, and nurse practitioners, work together to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate RN - PPT to join our team and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess the needs of and provide treatment to adult and pediatric patients in the Emergency Department
  • Function as a member of a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients
  • Participate in triage and in-charge responsibilities to ensure efficient patient flow
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans

Requirements

  • Current Registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Current Heart & Stroke Approved BLS Provider Card upon hire
  • Previous Emergency Department experience required
  • Experience in triage and in-charge responsibilities required
  • ACLS certificate required at time of hire and ongoing
  • Completion of an on-site sponsored course is required within one year of hire date
  • Successful completion of Canadian Emergency Nursing Certification Exam would be an asset
  • Successful completion of post-diploma Emergency courses, TNCC, ENPC, PALS, would be an asset
  • Basic ECG interpretation and 12 lead ECG application and interpretation preferred
  • Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position
  • Satisfactory employment and attendance record required

Working Conditions

The Emergency Department is a fast-paced environment that requires flexibility and adaptability. The successful candidate will be required to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.
