Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Float Registered Practical Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our infusion clinic, you will be responsible for administering and training medications, monitoring patient care, and providing education to patients and healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and train medications (IV, IM, and SC) in patient homes or specialty clinics
  • Monitor post-injection/infusion treatments and chart/report on activities as directed by program protocols
  • Provide patient education based on program protocols, individually or in groups
  • Coordinate daily with patients, case managers, physicians, and other departments to meet scheduling needs
  • Develop and sustain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, physicians, and healthcare professionals
  • Participate in telephone consultations and web-based meetings with the President or reporting Manager to share information and uphold professional practice standards
Requirements
  • Qualified registered practical nurse (valid provincial license from the College of Nurses)
  • Healthcare provider CPR certificate required
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Registered Practical Nurse (preferred)
  • Experience administering injectable medications (IV, IM, SC)
  • Experience in critical care, emergency, acute care, inpatient/outpatient, or homecare settings (considered assets)
  • ACLS certificate required
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Outlook (email), and MS Word
  • Excellent customer service skills and strong written and verbal communication skills
