About the Role:
Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Psychiatrist to join our Acute Home-Based Treatment team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive mental health services in a community setting.
Key Responsibilities- Provide psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to clients with acute mental health needs
- Collaborate with community health and acute hospital services to ensure seamless transitions and continuity of care
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in consultation with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Provide education and support to clients and families on mental health management and coping strategies
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices in community mental health services
- Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) membership
- Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC) eligibility
- Experience working in community mental health settings, preferably with marginalized populations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
