Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively to meet customer demands.
  • Training and Development: Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure that they are meeting our high standards.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and take corrective action when necessary to maintain our high standards.
  • Financial Management: Prepare budget and cost estimates, and manage our food and labor costs to ensure that we are operating within our budget.
  • Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner, and take steps to resolve issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, and use this data to inform our business decisions.
  • Scheduling: Establish work schedules for our food service staff, ensuring that we have adequate coverage during peak periods.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a supervisory role in the food service industry.
  • Work Setting: Restaurant environment.
  • Physical Demands: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, standing for extended periods, physically demanding, and attention to detail.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, team player, and initiative.
