Job Title: Corporate Application Technical Leader

As a key member of our team, the Corporate Application Technical Leader will play a crucial role in driving the development and implementation of complex business applications and information systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct and manage the work of inter-divisional staff and professional services to deliver and sustain enterprise business applications and information.
  • Negotiate with divisional business and technical stakeholders to drive consensus for corporate-wide solution designs.
  • Develop and maintain corporate policies, procedures, and standards for enterprise information and applications.
  • Ensure the security, privacy, and quality assurance requirements are implemented in a manner that delivers business requirements.
  • Lead and/or input to project management and procurement processes, including the evaluation and recommendation of complex technical solutions.
  • Develop and/or input to procurement and project management documentation, such as business cases, RFI/P/Qs, and project plans.
  • Communicate effectively with business clients, stakeholders, and team members to determine their requirements and recommend solutions.
  • Develop and maintain complex business and application models, information structures, data models, and technical program code.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in computer science or a related discipline, or the approved equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Extensive experience with Java, J2EE web application, Spring MVC framework/Spring Boot, WebSphere/Tomcat server, SQL, Eclipse, Active Directory, GitLab, and TLS/SSL Certificates.
  • Experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JQuery, and Bootstrap to create responsive web user interfaces for mobile devices and desktop browsers.
  • Experience developing RESTful Services and using REST APIs, including JSON and XML APIs.
  • Considerable experience developing digital products that comply with accessibility standards and/or best practices.
  • Considerable experience in business system analysis, rapid application development, and programming in a large, diverse computing environment.
  • Considerable experience developing and/or maintaining large-scale information technology applications.
  • Considerable experience in security principles and cybersecurity practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in the public sector and/or the licensing and permitting industry.
  • Excellent communication skills to work with business clients and determine their requirements.
  • Ability to be self-motivated and work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, listening, and interacting skills.
  • Ability to work with competing demands, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
