Job Title: Grocery Clerk

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Grocery Clerk to join our team at Mac Neil's Your Independent Grocer. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and ensuring that our shelves are fully stocked and visually appealing.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their shopping needs, answering questions, and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Restock shelves and display areas with merchandise, ensuring that products are facing forward and at eye level.
  • Unpack and count merchandise received by the store, and accurately record inventory levels.
  • Operate an electric palette jack to move merchandise around the store.
  • Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping and mopping floors, to maintain a clean and safe store environment.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, and maintain a high level of productivity and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive store atmosphere.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and weekends.
