Job Title: Grocery Clerk

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Grocery Clerk to join our team at Mac Neil's Your Independent Grocer. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and ensuring that our shelves are fully stocked and visually appealing.

Responsibilities:
  • Direct customers to the location of articles they are seeking
  • Unpack and count products received by the store, and sort items as needed
  • Order stock and maintain accurate inventory levels
  • Stock shelves and display areas to ensure a visually appealing store environment
  • Keep stock clean and organized, and perform general cleaning duties as needed
  • Price items using a stamp or stickers according to our price list
  • Operate an electric palette jack to move stock around the store
  • Provide exceptional customer service to our customers
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays
