Company Overview

Central Okanagan Hospice House is a 24-bed hospice providing palliative care to patients meeting the IH regional criteria. The facility is staffed by professional and specialty-trained care staff working in collaboration with the Community, Kelowna General Hospital, and Central Okanagan Hospice House teams.

Estimated Salary Range: $250,000 - $350,000 per year

The Central Okanagan Hospice House is seeking a palliative-trained physician to join their team, allowing you to practice in a community and/or as part of the Hospice Palliative Care Team.

Job Description

This opportunity involves admitting and following patients in a 24-bed hospice setting, conducting consultations, and participating in educating staff, colleagues, and learners. We take a coordinated approach to palliative care by working closely with acute care teams, BC Cancer, and Pain and Symptom Management.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Coverage with the Canadian Medical Protective Association is mandatory.
  • Palliative Medicine Subspecialty accreditation or equivalent training and experience, or a certificate of added competency in Palliative Care for CCFP applicants.
