Job Summary:

The Heavy Equipment Operators Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the operation of heavy equipment, ensuring the safety of our team members, and maintaining a high level of productivity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of heavy equipment operators to ensure efficient and safe operation.
  • Recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Estimate costs and materials for projects.
  • Prepare production and other reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Co-ordinate and schedule activities with other project supervisors or managers.
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and deadlines.
  • Read blueprints and drawings to understand project requirements.
  • Recommend personnel actions and requisition materials and supplies as needed.
  • Supervise workers and projects to ensure high-quality results.
  • Train or arrange for training to ensure team members have the necessary skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a supervisory role.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
