Job Title: Construction Site Superintendent

Drake International is seeking a highly experienced Construction Site Superintendent to join our team. As a key member of our construction management team, you will be responsible for overseeing construction projects, crews, and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with contract documents and prepare project layouts to ensure timely and efficient project delivery.
  • Plan, organize, and assign tasks to crews and subcontractors to maximize productivity and quality.
  • Lead by example, educate, coach, develop, and direct workers with clear instructions and feedback to promote a positive and productive work environment.
  • Monitor crew productivity and track work hours to ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Check the quality of work against specifications and building codes to ensure high-quality project delivery.
  • Implement, manage, and monitor safety programs to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
  • Manage, receive, and report materials on-site to ensure timely and efficient project delivery.
  • Oversee the storage, security, and maintenance of tools and manuals to ensure they are readily available and in good working condition.
  • Proactively solve problems, draft RFIs, manage SIs and COs, as-builts, etc. to ensure project delivery is on track and within budget.
Requirements:
  • At least 10 years of proven ICI construction management experience, which may include roles such as Assistant Site Superintendent, Senior Carpenter/Foreman, Site Superintendent, or Construction Project Manager.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OHSA regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal and technical skills with a focus on teamwork.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean abstract.
  • Clear criminal record.
  • Physical condition suitable for the demands of the role.
  • Certifications in WHMIS 2015, Working at Heights, and Supervisor Health & Safety Awareness.
