Job Summary:As a Client Care Assistant, you will work as a team member with all staff, assisting in the provision of supportive care to clients with addictions. Your primary duties include providing supportive care to clients, ensuring a safe and secure facility, responding to client requests, communicating effectively with other staff, and contributing to a therapeutic environment through interaction with clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide supportive care to clients, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
- Ensure a safe and secure facility, adhering to all relevant policies and procedures.
- Facilitate client admissions and client/facility searches, maintaining accurate records.
- Participate in medication assistance, following established protocols.
- Assist with minor laundry and housekeeping duties, maintaining a clean and comfortable environment.
- Prepare bedrooms for client admissions, ensuring a smooth transition.
- Support clients in participating in activities of daily living, recreational and social activities, and educational and employment activities.
- Work collaboratively with other health and service providers to maintain a safe and supportive environment.
- Completion of Grade 12.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
- Suicide Prevention and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training.
- Experience or knowledge in addiction and/or mental health.
Alberta Health Services offers a competitive rate of pay and a Fort McMurray Allowance, payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.
