About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter, Plant Specialist to join our team at Protectolite Composites Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth installation and maintenance of our composite materials in various industrial settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Maintenance: Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools, and measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
  • Project Management: Prepare tenders and quotations, and fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware.
  • Technical Expertise: Operate CADD and other computer software systems, and maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years.
  • Work Environment: Noisy and dusty industrial settings.
  • Work Setting: Industrial plants and other establishments.
  • Level of Expertise: Maintenance and repair.
  • Physical Capabilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling, handling heavy loads, and working with minimal supervision.
