About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter, Plant Specialist to join our team at Protectolite Composites Inc. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our industrial plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare layouts and designs in accordance with building codes, using measuring tools and software.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
  • Prepare tenders and quotations for maintenance and repair projects.
  • Install and fit windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
  • Operate CADD and other computer software systems to design and plan maintenance projects.
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in industrial plants and other establishments.
Requirements
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Ability to work in a noisy and dusty environment with minimal supervision.
  • Physical demands include bending, crouching, kneeling, handling heavy loads, and working long hours.
  • Excellent judgment and reliability with a strong work ethic.
