Job Title: Carpenter and Plant Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter and Plant Specialist to join our team at Protectolite Composites Inc.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing layouts, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials. They will also prepare tenders and quotations, fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware, and operate CADD and other computer software systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
  • Prepare tenders and quotations
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Operate CADD and other computer software systems
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience
  • Ability to work in a noisy and dusty environment
  • Ability to work in an industrial setting
  • Ability to maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures
