About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caregiver Support Specialist to join our team at Axis Family Resources Ltd.

Job Summary

This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with complex needs. As a Caregiver Support Specialist, you will provide personalized support and care to our clients, promoting their independence and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one support and care to clients with complex needs
  • Develop and implement personalized care plans to promote client independence and well-being
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support
  • Provide education and training to clients and their families on trauma-informed care and support
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • Diploma in Community Services, Health Care Aid, Human Services, or related discipline
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in social services or a combination of education and experience
  • Related experience in working with vulnerable populations or behavioral challenges
  • Reliable transportation and a valid BC driver's licence
  • Knowledge of and ability to work with complex trauma, Autism, FASD, ODD, or other neurobiological conditions
  • Clear Criminal Record Check (agency conducted, expenses covered)
  • Level 1 First Aid (including CPR) training and certification provided
