Job Title: Printing Press Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Printing Press Assistant to join our team at Cascades Canada ULC. As a key member of our pressroom team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our printing presses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Mount plates or cylinders and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal print quality.
  • Filling ink fountains and controlling colour and viscosity to achieve desired results.
  • Setting up presses and operating at slow speed to check samples for quality control.
  • Monitoring regular press runs for quality using computer control consoles.
  • Removing and cleaning plates and cylinders at the end of press runs.
  • Reporting any malfunctions to the supervisor and performing other labouring and elemental activities as required.
Work Environment:

Our pressroom is a fast-paced environment with a focus on quality and efficiency. As a Printing Press Assistant, you will be working in a noisy industrial setting, requiring manual dexterity, attention to detail, and hand-eye coordination.

Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience in a related field is an asset.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Reliability and a strong work ethic are essential.
