About the Role

The Warranty Service Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the Warranty Service Department at Mattamy Homes Canada. This role ensures that homeowner service requests are fulfilled while delivering on the company's mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the completion of warranty service work, adhering to budget and timelines.
  • Respond to and resolve deficiencies, including mediation, arbitration, and inspections.
  • Review repairs completed by Warranty Service Technicians for quality and completion.
  • Ensure trades are scheduled appropriately and expedite work to meet Warranty Service guidelines.
  • Manage Warranty Service employees through performance management, development, and coaching.
  • Build and maintain relationships with homeowners, including resolving customer concerns.
  • Manage emergency service requests and site compounds.
  • Participate in Mattamy community events and Mattamy University sessions.

Requirements

  • College/University degree or diploma in Business, Construction, Urban Planning, or Leadership.
  • Demonstrated people leadership experience (minimum 2 years).
  • Five years of experience in customer service or construction.
  • Carpentry, electrical, plumbing, drywall, and painting experience an asset.
  • General knowledge of terms of trade contracts and Tarion.
  • Customer service-focused with problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and manage variable workloads.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written.
