Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Electrical Engineer to spearhead relationships and manage staff with a customer-first mentality. You will oversee daily operations, including staff training, team building exercises, and performance reviews. Your role will also involve managing workforces to encourage teamwork, cooperation, and productivity.

You must be a high-energy multitasker who can communicate effectively with staff and help the organization meet its goals successfully. Additionally, you should be well-organized, with the ability to effectively prioritize and delegate tasks. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for this role.

  • Client Management, Program Management, and Senior Engineering responsibilities
  • Assist with procurement of new business, including proposal preparation and quotations
  • Communicate with project stakeholders and build key relationships
  • Transfer knowledge regarding company operations and updates to the Company process manual
  • QA/QC Project Management Software and ensure employee compliance
  • Budgeting, cost estimating, and report preparation
  • System planning, load forecasting, and master plan preparation
  • Specification writing
  • Agreement and security coordination
  • Local Distribution Company Offer to Connect interpretation
  • Coordinate job site inspections during and after construction for compliance with specs
  • Attend design and project meetings as required
Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Spearheading client relationships and managing staff with a customer-first mentality
  2. Oversseeing daily operations, including staff training, team building exercises, and performance reviews
  3. Managing workforces to encourage teamwork, cooperation, and productivity
  4. Designing and managing power distribution systems for various projects
  5. Coordinating job site inspections during and after construction for compliance with specs
  6. Attending design and project meetings as required
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A graduate degree in Electrical Engineering with a P. Eng. designation and membership in PEO
  • Industry experience in DSPE (Development Services Planning & Engineering) for Sub-divisions/Municipal projects
  • A high level of motivation, self-starter drive, and results orientation
  • A track record of understanding and supporting technical, business, and professional requirements
  • Ability to work with Executives to accomplish organizational priorities and guide the Executive and leadership team through decision alternatives
  • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written, involving high-level communications with internal and external contacts
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly and efficiently sort through data to identify key issues or variables
  • Computer literacy, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of programs and expertise in AutoCAD and MicroStation drafting software
  • Valid driver's license and own car
Salary

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.
