Job Overview

The City of Kamloops Planning and Procurement Division is seeking a skilled Procurement Analyst to provide technical expertise and analysis in the competitive-bid process, contract negotiation, and vendor management.

This is a permanent full-time position that offers a comprehensive benefits package and a chance to work in a municipal environment.

The ideal candidate will have a diploma in a Business-related discipline and SCMP designation, or equivalent, and a minimum of three years of progressive purchasing experience.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing business advisory services, evaluating vendor performance, and acting as a Procurement liaison to internal and external clients.

Key qualifications include excellent time-management, attention to detail, organizational skills, and well-developed interpersonal skills.

For new hires, and for those working in designated positions of trust, including those working directly with vulnerable persons, no formal offer of employment will be made until an applicant completes a police information check.

This is a CUPE local 900 position with a salary of $46.098 per hour and 35 hours of work per week.
