We are seeking a skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Tipton's Your Independent Grocer. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen and ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and Coordinate Staff: Lead a team of food service staff, including food service counter attendants, food preparers, and kitchen helpers, to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Train and Develop Staff: Provide training and guidance to staff members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Manage Inventory and Supplies: Estimate and order ingredients and supplies as needed to ensure that our kitchen is well-stocked and prepared for peak periods.
  • Ensure Quality Control: Monitor and maintain high standards of food quality and presentation to ensure that our customers receive the best possible experience.
  • Prepare Budgets and Reports: Prepare and submit reports on sales, inventory, and other key metrics to inform business decisions.

Requirements:

  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years, or equivalent experience
  • Work Setting: Urban area, with relocation costs covered by employer
  • Physical Demands: Combination of sitting, standing, walking, with standing for extended periods and physically demanding tasks
