About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Lead to join our team at Green Shield Canada. As a Data Governance Lead, you will play a critical role in shaping our data governance strategy and ensuring that our data is accurate, reliable, and secure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data governance frameworks and tools.
  • Provide guidance and support to data owners and stakeholders on data governance best practices and standards.
  • Conduct data governance assessments and audits to identify areas for improvement and develop recommendations for remediation.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data governance and provide strategic recommendations for implementation.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in data governance or a related field.
  • Deep understanding of data governance practices, policies, and standards, including Canadian data-related regulations.
  • Experience with modern data governance tools and technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex data governance concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
