We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Manager to join our team at A&W Restaurants Inc in Whitehorse, Yukon Territories.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage restaurant operations to ensure a balance of speed, quality, service, cleanliness, and profit.
  • Maintain A&W standards and conduct regular performance reports to identify areas for improvement.
  • Schedule staff to provide an excellent customer experience while meeting labor cost goals.
  • Ensure equipment and facility are in good condition and arrange for repairs as needed.
Human Resources:
  • Recruit and hire hourly staff to meet restaurant goals.
  • Collaborate with the Area Manager to make decisions on hiring and promoting supervisors and Assistant Managers.
  • Train and develop staff to ensure restaurant goals and standards are met.
  • Address poor performance in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Develop a healthy working climate through daily behavior and semi-annual climate meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with provincial employment standards, WCB, and Health Board regulations.
Financial:
  • Ensure restaurant profitability by managing revenues and costs to agreed-upon levels.
  • Participate in the annual profit planning process.
  • Ensure accurate and timely daily, weekly, and monthly accounting.
  • Comply with company cash management policies and resolve any cash issues promptly.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a supervisor or management role in the food service industry within the previous 5 years.
  • High school graduation or equivalent.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and proven leadership/supervisory experience.
  • Expertise in all restaurant positions.
  • Knowledge of food safe practices and requirements.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Valid driver's license and vehicle required.
