Job Summary:

Talize is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Merchandise Operations Manager to oversee the general operation of the processing department. This is a key leadership role that requires strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the merchandise processing department, ensuring efficient and effective processing of merchandise.
  • Lead and manage a team of merchandise processing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet their performance goals.
  • Develop and implement processes and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity in the merchandise processing department.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and inventory management, to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of merchandise.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records and reports, including inventory levels, processing times, and employee performance.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in a retail warehouse environment, with a minimum of 3 years of managerial experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Proven track record of improving efficiency and productivity in a merchandise processing department.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to drive business results.
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems and processes.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for the duration of shift.
  • Constant bending, reaching, and using hands for repetitive actions.
  • Lifting and carrying items up to 50lbs without assistance throughout shift.
  • Pushing and pulling merchandise containers on wheels weighing up to 500lbs.

Work Environment:

  • Exposure to dust throughout the shift.
  • Exposure to periodic temperature fluctuations and noise levels.
  • Work schedule hours may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Interaction with customers, clients, and the public at large.
