Senior Control Systems Software Architect

As a member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from custom automation systems to factory-wide solutions. You'll be responsible for designing and developing software programs, integrating hardware and software components, and collaborating with other teams to ensure seamless project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and develop software programs specific to customer and project requirements.
  2. Debug and commission control systems at our facility, during system integration, and at customer sites.
  3. Travel to customer and supplier sites to perform installation, commissioning, and training duties.
  4. Select, test, and integrate hardware and software components.
  5. Work with other teams to continuously improve methods of integrating controls technology.
  6. Ensure labor and material budgets, as well as scheduled delivery dates, are met or improved upon.
  7. Collaborate with customers, project managers, designers, toolmakers, and electricians to solve problems and provide complete automation systems.
  8. Provide thorough testing of machine functionality to verify software program completeness.
  9. Provide accurate documentation for each project.
  10. Advise customers on solving technical problems.
  11. Provide customers with training specific to their current project.

Requirements:

  1. A post-secondary engineering degree, diploma, or equivalent, specializing in mechanical, electrical, systems, or computer engineering.
  2. Strong programming, mechanical, and electrical problem-solving skills.
  3. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  4. Understanding of robotics, control systems, and machine operation with hands-on experience is desirable.
