About the Role:
As a Senior Legal Advisor, Compliance and Commercial Law, you will play a critical role in supporting the Director, Privacy Officer and Counsel, Legal Affairs, in providing legal opinions and strategic advice to various departments within Dialogue Health Technologies Inc.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal support to multiple departments, including medical operations, government relations, sales, product and technology, human resources, and more.
- Maintain advanced knowledge of Canadian health and privacy laws, and develop legal processes and documentation to enhance regulatory compliance.
- Support communications with medical regulatory bodies, provincial and federal governments, and relevant interest groups concerning health law matters.
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives and projects, such as impact assessments related to new legislation, new service offerings, new products, or entering new markets around both health and privacy matters.
- Advise on a wide range of commercial agreements involving complex, multi-stakeholder legal issues.
- Conduct legal risk assessments relating to proposed business and operational decisions and work with business leaders to mitigate risks to stakeholders around both health and privacy matters.
- Provide timely and practical legal advice regarding the company's day-to-day operations.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years' experience in the healthcare or privacy sectors, and familiarity with regulated environments acquired within a company or in private practice.
- Bachelor's degree in civil law (LL.B).
- Strong legal acumen, fostering collaboration, and adept problem-solving skills.
- Skilled in writing, negotiating, and managing multiple priorities and files simultaneously.
- Effective communicator, adept at fostering relationships with multidisciplinary teams internally and externally, including legal professionals, in corporate settings.
- Capable of autonomously developing programs, policies, processes, and other documentation.
- Bilingual in French and English, crucial for communication and collaboration with stakeholders across Quebec, Canada, and the United Kingdom.
