We are seeking a highly skilled Biotech Facilities Manager to join our team at Zymeworks. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of our facilities.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and supervising the preventative maintenance schedule for our Vancouver M2 building, ensuring that all systems are running efficiently and effectively. This will include monitoring and maintaining operation of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and security systems, as well as coordinating with external contractors for repairs and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and supervise preventative maintenance schedule for Vancouver M2 building
  • Monitor and maintain operation of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and security systems
  • Coordinate with external contractors for repairs and maintenance
  • Fulfill facilities service requests using Jira ticket system
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks
  • Assist with planning and implementation of global office renovations and furniture reconfigurations
  • Support Lab Operations on an as-needed basis
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field (e.g., facilities management, engineering)
  • Minimum 3 years' related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Previous experience in a biotech or pharma facility required
  • Strong customer service orientation and hands-on approach
  • Experience with SAP Ariba preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage concurrent deliverables
  • Proficiency with MS Office
