Job Overview:

The National Research Council Canada is seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Fellow to join our research team in the area of multi-modal cognitive health assessment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research projects using biosensing technologies, computer vision, signal processing or biomarker detection.

About the Role:

We are looking for a talented researcher with a PhD in a relevant field, obtained within the past three years, to work on various research projects. The successful candidate will have expertise in biosensing technologies, computer vision, signal processing or biomarker detection, as well as applied knowledge of EEG, HRV, facial expression and emotion analysis and programming skills. Proficiency in English is required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out research under the guidance of senior researchers
  • Develop career through publication of papers and interaction with industry

Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in one or more of the following areas: biosensing technologies, computer vision, signal processing or biomarker detection. They should also have excellent programming skills and be proficient in English or French. Additionally, the candidate should have a robust understanding of the principles and applications of EEG, HRV, facial expression and emotion analysis.

Benefits:

This position offers a competitive salary range of $82,338 to $114,354 annually, as well as a comprehensive benefits package that includes a robust pension plan, comprehensive health and dental coverage, disability and life insurance, office closure at the end of December and additional supports.
