Job Title: Housekeeping Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Housekeeping Manager to join our team at Super 8 Cornwall. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our hotel rooms and public areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the work of housekeeping staff to ensure efficient and effective cleaning and maintenance of hotel rooms and public areas.
  • Select and purchase equipment and supplies necessary for housekeeping operations.
  • Conduct regular inspections of assigned areas to ensure compliance with health and safety standards and departmental policies.
  • Co-ordinate contract services for laundry, maintenance, and repair.
  • Ensure that local health and sanitation regulations are carried out.
  • Supervise in-house laundry services and maintain inventory of supplies, equipment, and uniforms.
  • Schedule and assign duties of housekeeping staff.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and appraisals of housekeeping staff.
  • Respond to complaints of guests and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in housekeeping or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of quality in work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions:

  • Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
