Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Executive Director to lead our Long Term Care home, Ina Grafton Gage Home, in providing exceptional care and services to our residents. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the home, overseeing the development and implementation of policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the senior management team and staff
    • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
    • Oversee the recruitment, hiring, and performance management of employees
  • Operational Management
    • Manage the daily operations of the home, including resident care and services
    • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance resident care and services
    • Monitor and analyze financial and operational performance metrics
  • Compliance and Risk Management
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including privacy and confidentiality
    • Identify and mitigate potential risks and liabilities
    • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and external stakeholders
    • Collaborate with external partners, including government agencies and healthcare providers
    • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Post-secondary degree from a program that is a minimum of three (3) years in duration or a post-secondary diploma in health or social services from a program that is at least two (2) years
    • At least three (3) years working experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity in the health or social services sector or in another managerial or supervisory capacity (any field)
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Strong leadership and management skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to analyze and interpret financial and operational performance metrics
    • Ability to develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
