We are seeking a skilled Food Service Lead to join our culinary team at Eden Bento Cafe. As a key member of our operations, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of food quality and service delivery.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of our kitchen staff, training them in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, and maintaining accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.

You will also be expected to establish work schedules, estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and ensure that food and service meet our quality control standards.

About This Role

This is a permanent position, working 30-35 hours per week. You must have knowledge of the establishment's culinary genres and be able to address customer complaints or concerns in a professional manner.

Your experience should include managing a team in a fast-paced environment, with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of kitchen staff
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures
  • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage
  • Establish work schedules
  • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of the establishment's culinary genres
  • Ability to manage a team in a fast-paced environment
