About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpentry Specialist to join our team at WINMAR Property Restoration Specialists - Vancouver. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in the repair and renovation of residential and commercial properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimating and Planning: Prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for various construction projects.
  • Site Management: Schedule and coordinate work on sites, ensuring timely completion of projects and maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Carpentry and Joinery: Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials to create high-quality carpentry work.
  • Installation and Maintenance: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware, as well as maintain and repair existing structures.
  • Supervision and Teamwork: Supervise a team of 1-2 people and work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve project goals.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in carpentry or a related field.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work at heights, in noisy, dusty, and outdoors environments.
  • Work Setting: Experience working in construction, renovation, and other related settings.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Hours: 30-40 hours per week.
