At SGCF Construction Ltd., we are seeking a skilled Carpentry Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in preparing layouts, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials. They will also be responsible for building foundations, installing floor beams, laying subflooring, and erecting walls and roof systems.

The successful candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, be able to work independently, and have a strong attention to detail. They will also be able to supervise other workers and maintain a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
  • Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites
  • Supervise other workers

Requirements:

  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience
  • Ability to work at heights, in noisy and dusty environments
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment
  • Availability to travel and willingness to work in various locations
