We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Worker to join our team at Advance Sheet Metal Ltd.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for manufacturing and assembling sheet metal products, including ducts for hot air heating, air conditioning, and ventilation. The ideal candidate will have experience working with metalworking machines, reading blueprints, and measuring and marking sheet metal according to templates.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manufacture and assemble sheet metal products in a factory setting
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements
  • Measure and mark sheet metal according to templates
  • Operate metalworking machines to cut, punch, drill, shape, or straighten sheet metal
  • Grind and buff seams, joints, and rough surfaces
  • Develop computerized patterns and layouts
  • Cut materials using power tools or by hand
  • Assemble, erect, and install hoisting and rigging equipment
  • Fabricate and install sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes
  • Operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale, and other materials from metal surfaces
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication and installation
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
  • Steel-toed safety boots
  • Team player with flexibility
