Investment Risk Management Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Investment Risk Management Specialist to join our team at Fiera Capital. As a key member of the Investment Risk team, you will play a critical role in driving the accurate identification, assessment, and monitoring of all risks associated with investments.

The successful candidate will report to the Global Chief Compliance and Investment Risk Officer and support the enhancement and execution of a robust quantitative and qualitative focused investment risk framework. This includes applicable investment risk reporting for various stakeholders.

This is a challenging opportunity to lead the Investment Risk team and work closely with the Public Markets CIO Office and Portfolio Managers to support risk oversight, analysis, and its identification consistently across our investment strategies.

About the Role:
  • Enhance, implement, and manage Fiera's investment risk management framework.
  • Identify and evaluate risks (qualitative and quantitative) that could affect investment portfolios adversely, impact operations, and harm the reputation or financial success of the organization.
  • Collaborate with the Public Markets CIO Office and Portfolio Managers to support risk oversight, analysis, and its identification consistently across our investment strategies.

In exchange for your expertise, we offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience. This position is based in Toronto or Montreal, with a hybrid working environment that allows for flexibility.

What We're Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field. MBA, CFA, CAIA, FRM/PRM) are highly desirable.
  • A minimum of 10 years of direct work experience in investment management or financial services industries specializing in fundamental and/or portfolio analysis in multi-asset, including public markets.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective risk management solutions.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with proficiency in risk modeling and statistical analysis, especially in modeling complex financial instruments.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience managing teams and driving results in a fast-paced environment.

Fiera Capital adheres to a hybrid working environment with 3 days in-office per week. For this role, proficiency in English is required, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients around the world.
