Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Transfer Attendant to join our team at Priority Patient Transfer Service in Kingston. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of patients to and from healthcare facilities, nursing homes, and private residences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transport patients via stretcher and wheelchair to and from healthcare facilities, nursing homes, and private residences
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of patients during transportation
  • Provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient transfers
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • Standard First Aid with CPR + AED certification
  • Minimum Class G driver's license with a clear Drivers Abstract
  • Current immunization record, including Tetanus, Diphtheria, Hepatitis B, and Poliomyelitis
  • Able to lift 250 lbs with a partner
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including days, nights, and weekends
  • Bilingualism is an asset
