Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursing and Personal Care Manager to join our team at Norview Lodge in Simcoe, ON. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for leading the Resident Care Services Department and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Resident Care Services Department, ensuring effective service delivery and resident care outcomes.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate strategic plans and goals for the department, aligning with the facility's overall objectives.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery and resident care.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures.
  • Develop and manage budgets, ensuring effective resource allocation and financial management.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance resident care and services.
  • Lead and participate in accreditation processes, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with external agencies and organizations to enhance resident care and services.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with a current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario and a member in good standing.
  • Minimum of three years' experience working in a Long-Term Care facility in a managerial and leadership capacity.
  • Experience with Resident Assessment Instrument-Minimum Data Set and PointClickCare is an asset.
  • Proven knowledge of dealing directly with the Ministry on Long Term Care for inspections of any type.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
