Key Responsibilities- Lead the nursing department in providing high-quality care to residents, ensuring effective service delivery and efficient use of resources.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to improve resident care, quality of life, and overall satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the management team to ensure seamless operations, effective communication, and timely decision-making.
- Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of nursing staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide exceptional care.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of care, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, infection control protocols, and other relevant standards.
- Develop and manage budgets, ensuring effective resource allocation and financial management.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and external partners, promoting a culture of respect and empathy.
- Registered Nurse with a current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario and a member in good standing.
- Minimum of three years' experience in a Long-Term Care facility in a managerial and leadership capacity.
- Proven knowledge of legislation relating to the Long-Term Care environment, infection control, quality assurance, risk management, and workplace safety.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Valid Ontario driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
Norfolk County offers a competitive salary range of $94,757 - $118,447 per annum, a comprehensive benefits package, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
